Welcome to our “Big Science” Website!

The research interests and projects in our lab are highly diverse and reflect the natural biodiversity that is found in California.  Ranging from coastal grasslands to serpentine outcrops to alpine meadows, folks in the lab are examining aspects of plant ecology and evolution at both the population and community level. We employ a wide range of techniques that include molecular, physiological, and standard field ecology approaches.  We are especially interested in using innovative scientific approaches to solve practical problems in conservation biology, restoration ecology, and invasion biology.
